Kerr County Animal Services (KCAS)
Kerr County Animal Services enforces ordinances, such as restraint laws, laws concerning rabies vaccinations and city/county registrations, rabies control, cruelty investigations, bite investigations and animal quarantines. They also educate the public about rabies control and local laws. They have an adoption and rescue program for Kerr County animals in need of good homes.
Since KCAS is the local rabies control authority, it helps county residents with trapped wildlife Mondays through Fridays, with the exception of holidays. KCAS officers are certified and trained to handle most wildlife situations, excluding protected game (deer, buzzards, birds of prey, fish, and ducks/geese). Please contact the local Texas Parks and Wildlife for more information. KCAS’ department assists the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office with loose livestock within the county.
Animal Services DOES NOT pick up deceased animals. Please see current trapping protocol document HERE.
