How We Do It

Kerr Together works alongside trusted partner organizations to support individual and business recovery pathways — aligning individual and business case management, volunteer labor, materials, and funding with unmet needs. Our role is not to replace our partners’ work, but to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared outcomes across the recovery ecosystem facilitated by a coordinated recovery framework supporting eight main areas: unmet needs, housing, emotional and spiritual care, business and economic development, tourism and arts & culture, river and environmental recovery, flood warning system, and emergency response planning.

By maintaining strong partnerships with local jurisdictions, community-based organizations, and regional, state, national and global recovery partners, Kerr Together gathers and verifies disaster-related information to provides clear, accurate, and actionable guidance to support our community’s recovery. This ensures that efforts remain responsive, data-driven, and grounded in community priorities throughout all phases of disaster recovery.

Mental Health Resources

Our entire community has endured serious challenges since July 4th. Mental health concerns follow every natural disaster. It’s normal, and it affects every single person in our community. At Kerr Together, we want you to know that what you’re feeling is real, and it matters. Needing support isn’t weakness – it’s taking back power in a situation where many feel powerless. Your mind needs care just like your body does.

Grief, fear, sleeplessness, numbness—all of it is normal as we work to rebuild. Just because it’s “normal” doesn’t mean you have to face it alone. As a community, we’ve experienced something extraordinary, and healing will take time. Help is here. You deserve it. You’re worth it.
